What all factors in to create the knee pop. I tried to nullify it through animating the knee control it just made it worst.

part of the pop comes from the hips not rotating well and up and down movement of hip joint...

a lot of things come into play to cause them to pop but quite a bit of it is the "length" of the leg (over (leg too long) and under (leg too short) extension)

I have heard it said the pop can not be eliminated only minimized...

    hope this helps

    Hi Nikhill,

A Knee pop occurs when the knee goes from straight to bent (or vice versa) too fast.  It's actually a mathematical issue involving infinity.  (think of the tan wave in trigonometry how it shoots off to positive and negative infinity as specific points)

That's more info than you needed, I know haha.

Now the cause can be many things.

Maybe the hip is rotated too far, or not enough. Maybe the FootRoll is raising up too fast (or slow) which causes the knee to go from straight to bent too fast.  Maybe the distance of the foot is too far from the hip.....the list goes on.

With practice you will get better at figuring out what the cause is in your situation.

You can animate the knee bend control, however, that should be a last resort, and only should be done over a few frames to cushion the spacing pop.  It should be the last thing you try just to tidy things up (not the first thing you go to)

    Hope that helps!
