When I load file (From this or models made in previous versions) I get black triangles from the origin point. They can dissapear as you rotate. Any ideas?

Not sure what is causing this. The only thing it looks like it maybe is the camera.

To see if it is, with your cursor in the 3D viewport press 0 on the number pad to go into camera view, what do you see?

you have a camera in your scene, but I cant see it in this image which suggest this black triangle is from the camera. Try deleting the camera in the outliner and add a new one. Shift+A>Camera.

    Thanks for the reply

Its not the camera. I've checked that. As you rotate the triangle dissapears.

This is a simple example, on some of the models they are all over the place, I can upload a sample if it helps

That looks pretty bad! Try disabling the viewport shadow. If it's not that, I'd suggest reporting it as a bug if it's not due to any modifiers and doesn't match the geometry.

Is your graphics card driver up to date?

  • kultre replied

Graphics card is up to date but it is an old one (Nvidia 8400GS) - soon to be replaced

That's from 2007...not unlikely that that's, what is causing the problems.
