Hi!
My main reason for learning Blender is for adding one animated character in a video. Character will not be seen from very close so I don't need many details. Therefore, my idea was to try to learn all phases of the process, but now it seems a little bit too much for a beginner :-)
So, since it's actually quite cheap to buy low-poly rigged characters online, I've decided to skip modeling and rigging phase and to focus just on motion tracking and animation. Could you recommend me some tutorials here on CG Cookie that are still relevant today for those two tasks?
Of course, any other advice is also appreciated.
Thanks! :-)
As far as animation goes @waylow is the main man.
If you are a complete noob to animation start here 👉https://cgcookie.com/course/fundamentals-of-animation-in-blender-2-8x
Then you will want to check this out 👉 https://cgcookie.com/course/animation-bootcamp it is a great course with plenty of exercises to help you practice.
These two courses are part of the Animation in Blender learning flow. https://cgcookie.com/flow/animation-in-blender
Here is a motion tracking tutorial you may like https://cgcookie.com/tutorial/the-basics-of-motion-tracking-creating-a-vfx-door

If you are new to Blender you may find these courses use an older version of Blender, if you have any issues just post a question and someone (or everyone) in the community will help you. You will find at the bottom of every lesson page a question section post there and it will also appear in the community forum, and I believe the tutor of the course also gets a message.
