No effect of "Object Scale" on "Particle Systems"
I can't see any effect of the "Object Scale" on the behaviour of "Particle Systems".
With "Object Scale" of "0.1" on the right "Sphere Particle Emitter"
I worked on a project within the past couple months involving particles and I think they're buggy currently, specifically with regards to scale. Sometimes I've seen object scale affect particle hair scale and sometimes it doesn't. It makes for a frustrating experience for sure...I'm hoping the devs resolve the reliability of particle soon.
@theluthier The same is the case with the "Particle Cache" here. And according to this page here, "Boids can no longer do predictive avoidance of force field objects, but still for other particles ". The "Particle System" seems to be messed up in many places and rumors concerning a complete renewal in the context of "Particle Nodes" and "Particle/Hair Objects" are already out for quite a while. A new "New Particle System" and "New Hair Type" had a short "appearance" as "Experimental New Features" in Blender 2.91.0 Alpha but they didn't make it to the Beta version:
