Overlays menu is different in blender 2.91?

I'm trying to follow this tutorial in Blender 2.91, but it seems as if overlay menu is quite different than presented here. I have no option to turn on the normals.

    Hello!

Ensure you are in Edit Mode and then look at the Overlays menu. You should see the options for displaying normals as shown in the video.

Btw, two more questions that are not directly related to this tutorial, but to your website functionality. I hope it's ok to post that question here?

First question is related to notifications which I receive for instance when you reply to my question here. So, although I've clicked on the notification and I expect that will turn it off, it doesn't happen but it always flashes in top-right corner.

I find that a bit unintuitive, but I can't seem to find the way to make notifications behave differently? As far as I can see, the only way to turn them off is to mark them all as read. Is there maybe way to make them turn off once I click them?

Second question is related to video streaming quality. When I go to app settings, there is for instance option to select default video speed, which I find quite helpful since I almost always watch videos at 1.25x speed.

But, although I would expect to find it here, there is no option to set default video streaming quality. In my scenario that would be very helpful because while I'm working in Blender on big full HD screen, I'm watching your tutorial on smaller HD screen. Since my internet connection is fast enough, videos by default always play in fullHD, but that's in fact not good when watching on HD since the letters become blurred. Therefore, whenever I play new video, each time I have to set streaming quality to 720p.

So, is there maybe somewhere setting to set default streaming quality? If not, I believe that would be very useful function to add.

    Thanks! :-)

Hey @marinr , thanks for the feedback!

Not at the moment, but you can also click the orange dot to mark it as read

Also no, but I can definitely see how that would be helpful!

At the end of the year (or early next year), we're going to switch over to a totally new version of the site that our developer, Nick, has been working on for most of this year. It should address several issues that folks have brought up over time, and we will definitely want more feedback like this once that is live.
