Hey there
I already checked reddit and sadly didnt find anyone that successfully could install it and describe it how.
I tried blender 2.82a, 2.83 and 2.9 it nevrer appears a button like said here:
https://blendermarket.com/products/retopoflow/faq
but may be I am just not seeing it.
I could not find a video of teh current one where they go from the blender part into retop- so if someone would just post a picture on how it shoudl look like?
If it is installed then there should be a checkmark next to the name on the addon menu, also the option indicated above should be availible. I use to run it fine on a microsoft surface 7 with 2.81, but due to lag with 2.9 I kinda need more processing and it does freeze up, especially on startup even on the default cube, but it will recover in 10-20 seconds. keep in mind you simply cant draw. you must use LMB CTRL to get started.
Also if you cant get that to work there is always Bsurfaces (pictured above) not as fancy, but faster and is one of the free community addons you dont need to search for.
Sorry to hear you are having issues installing. If you paid for the add-on they give great support on the blender market.
My version of retopoflow is working fine. I installed it from blender market and am using the version 3 release candidate on blender 2.9.
Installed the main zip file in the add-ons tab and it shows up without issue. Looks just like bbitbuilder shows in the picture above.
Just successfully tested it on a new object and also was able to re-activate the object after coming out and going back in without issue.
P.S. Retopoflow 3 was just released today as the official build on blender market.
Thanks a lot. - sorry for the löate reply, took some days until I could work on this again.
All teh tutorials for that tool seriosuly start when they are already in the tool.
So this was really helpfull but sadly what ever I try I dont get it to run ;(
So thank you for suggesting teh free tool I will try using this !
just to say, I also have Retopo 3 and it installed fine and shows up as expected on Blender 2.9...
Sometimes. Doing a complete blender wipe and then reinstalling everything from scratch helps. I wouldn't say I recommend it but when nothing else works I don't know what else to suggest haha. But yeah I have used mine on 2.91 official release a few times and it is working like a charm.
