To use E and 5 to add 5 frame in between 2 keyframes does not always work...?

posted to: Looping Ball

Hello,

I select all my keyframes then I move the cursor bar in between two frames and press E then 5.

Sometimes it does what's shown on the video (insert 5 frames by moving the next keyframe by 5 frames to the right), sometimes it does the contrary (removing 5 frames by moving the previous keyframe by 5 frames to the right)... I am not sure what I am doing wrong?

    This depends on 2 things.

    1. What keyframes you have selected.

    2. What side of the playhead the mouse is on.

It will only move any of the selected keyframes that are to the right or left of the playhead (depending on which side your mouse is on)

Just watch the video again and you will probably see what you're missing. (my guess is your mouse is not in the correct spot)

roooh that was it, the position of the mouse! I would have never thought of it :/ would be nice if there was some indication on screen that the mouse position affects the tool behaviour... Might try to implement it (I always wanted to contribute to the code).

Thank you for the quick reply :)
