Hi teacher, one question: How do you navegate thought the blender sculpt with a Digitizer Table? Because the turn button, zoom, and move (mouse whell) dont exist on the pen. Is possible make an navegation system similar to zbrush in witch the mouse whell turn into the left click and for the Transform action when out of the object and Sculpting Action when overlap the object ? Thanks
Hi iicaro - I've never heard of a "digitizer table" before 🤔 Could you provide a URL link for the model you're referring to?
Hi there! I am going to assume you mean a graphics tablet, like a Cintiq, Huion, XP-Pen or similar. If this is the case it's easy to set up navigation using a combination of pen and keyboard.
Go to Edit> Preferences> Input and under the Mouse header select "Emulate 3 button Mouse".
Now you should be able to navigate using the pen with these combinations (assuming your pen defaults to "left-click" when placed on the tablet):
It is important to keep in mind that Emulate 3 Button Mouse will change the behavior of other common key combinations (as I have recently discovered). Notably, shift-alt to choose edge loops will not work. If you switch back and forth frequently you may want to set up alternative keybinds (Edit> Preferences> Keymap) or just try to remember to uncheck the emulation.
Hope this helps!
When we are talking about a pen and tablet...
I have two butttons on my pen (thought that was normal, it's just a cheap Wacom...) and have one assigned to be the middle mouse button and the other the right mouse button...
I have the same but small hands combined with arthritis makes the buttons hard to use so I tend to forget about them. Thanks for bringing it up because that is a very good solution for folks with more nimble fingers!
@theluthier This table looks to me simply like the XXXL version of our handy tablets, just "a little bit" 😉 more expensive 😁.
