Here is a quick mat cap render. Just started this morning, using the Bob Ross technique "there are no mistakes only happy accidents" just going with the flow. Inspiration Bioshock big daddy.
Change my mind went with a grill for a mouth. I will put teeth inside.
Bloody procedural texture teeth! Muwhahahahha and you thought it was going to be cute!
Down to the wire. This was my submission for the first half of the Epic pumpkin challenge.
I've decided to push this further and add additional details. I created a procedural god ray texture for additional light refraction (Purely artistic) Changed the material inside the mouth to black and added an area light with blue emission. Gave the beastie pumpkin some dental work, I had too many in there and felt the silhouette of the mouth was being lost. I also added a prop to the pumpkin for propulsion, I originally wanted this in for the submission but I didn't have time. I have a few other tweaks I would like to make to this before calling this complete. If you have any input or C&C please feel free to give it. Thanks!
Here is the simple god ray setup. This is applied to a plane and dropped in behind the pumpkin....why do this? I'm using Eevee for my the render and this is a simple way to fake what I was trying to achieve.
Trying to mess around with different lighting. Shrunk the voronoi in the background really small to look like particles of stuff (krill, algae etc) . Changed the eyes. I feel like the front of the face needs to be brighter...what do you think? please let me know. Thanks!
