Hi
New to CGCookie having started using Blender earlier in the year for personal interest and have done my obligatory donut. Using this as my log of the Blender Basics learning flow starting with my Sci-Fi crate, lit with a nice downtown chinatown HDRI.
Looking forward to seeing my progress as I go along and hope to produce some stuff akin to some of the awesome work I've seen others produce here.
My lighting submission, much to do to improve but happy enough with it as a starting point.
Been trying to model things in general, started out with one of the PC speakers on my desk. Actual render looks better, seems to have picked up some artifacts in the JPEG compression.
Having recently finished the fundamentals of animation thought I'd try my hand at a short animation before having a look at the animation bootcamp to see if things had stuck. Quite happy with the result for this level of learning.
