I was inspired by a post here in this community by Slava Trifonov. They had a really well made image of basketballs lit very simply. I wanted to try my hand at something similar. So I found a free basketball asset online and hit Blender.
I used just two lights for this shot since I wanted a very contrasty look. I learned how to build a simulation to get a very 'random' placement for all the basketballs. Honestly, it was loads of fun, I learned a few new tricks. So I'm grateful for the inspiration from Slava Trifonov.

Oh yeah I remember Slava's render, awesome composition. Yours is awesomely cool as well Stray. I think you have discovered the magic of good lighting and composition and now you can't go back. It's the trick that gets your renders to that eye catching level of presentation we all seek. You have just leveled up, you beat a boss fight, you got the precious powerful item and got all the sweet XP.
