This is my first attempt at creating a scene and lighting it. There are roughly 12 or more lights, various objects I downloaded free (thanks internet), and about 3-4 hours of work since this was my first time using Blender. I learned a lot. Pretty pleased with the end result, it took about 10 renders to get something I was happy enough with for my first project.

Wow that is good lighting and composition, lets not forget composition. I got that vibe of the scene of a rich man smoking tabaco on that room, possibly twirling his mustache in a meeting on how to spike the sales of their new product, even though the science isn't clear yet if it's healthy or not but he is determined to make a profit out of it. Awesome result, totally tells a story.

I agree, composition is just as important as lighting.
