Meltdowns.inc Final

A few months ago, I participated in a Halloween challenge—it was a Jack-o'-lantern. Even though it wasn’t my first time using Blender, it was my first time taking part in a Blender event, and I really enjoyed it. I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do and how to do it, but I got overconfident and started working on the project just a day before the deadline. In the end, I realized that what I wanted to create wasn’t possible in such a short time, especially with my limited experience in the software. I submitted my project anyway—it was just three pumpkins and nothing more. That experience left me with a lingering feeling, so I decided to keep practicing. I feel like I’ve learned a lot, and I’m working hard to improve!.

It's just a simple scene to practice a few things.

If anyone has any suggestions or feedback about this render, I'd be happy to hear it!

I agree, lighting is key in interior visualization. Great feedback from Sascha, he does lots of those so you can trust his judgement.

  • Practice is key, keep it up.
The first thing that comes to mind here is the lighting. It's too dark and you can't really make out any shapes or details. So I would try to brighten up the area around the sidetable and chair a bit to start with and then see from there what needs to happen.
Also the inside of the lamp is pitch black although the lighting suggests it being on. Maybe throw a sphere in it with a light emission to simulate a bulb.

Thanks for the advice. it definitely looks better, but I guess I need fix something about the lamp.
