Found my old project file from many years ago that was rendered in Blender Internal. Played with the materials a bit to make it Cycles friendly and added a light behind the head to see how it would turn out.
Wow Blender Internal? That plushy was a relic from a time gone by. Would be cool if you posted both the before (Blender Internal) and after (Cycles friend) renders. We all love before and afters, specially when Blender history is involved.
The Blender Internal render is on my Projects profile. Here's the link. I was looking through old files and found the original blend files and got curious what affect Cycles would have on it. The fur was done through an earlier iteration of the particles engine so I was surprised it didn't look off when opening the file in the current version of Blender.
