I really wanted to keep pushing after finishing Human for the first time. After about 120 hours distributed through 2 months this is the result. I've learned a lot of new things and kept wanting to improve the results, but I needed to call it finished at some point.
This one pushed my machine to it's limits and had to learn a lot of new tricks just to be able to keep working on it. I've been thinking of writing a bit of a small post morten thing to help reinforce what I've learned and maybe share it if people are interested.
Hope you like it!
The sculpting, the texturing, the composition, ... everything is fantastic. But what impressed me the most is the look. There is where I feel the power of this image.
Great work!
That looks great, very well done!
I just love this. I can't wait to level up to the point where I can take on "Human". This speaks volumes of your skill and dedication. Bravo!
Wow, Amazing work!
Incredible work, guiessu! I always appreciate a unique application of the HUMAN curriculum, and this is very unique indeed. Congrats on the staff pick. Well-deserved 👏
Thank you Kent! Human is such a great resource!
Wow it's Gabe, or how we like to call him, Cookie The Gorilla. It's too awesome, best approach to the Human course so far. Awesome job 🤙
😮Someone call David Attenborough, we got a live one...

Staff Picked 🏆
Thank you so much, really appreciate that!
did you take a picture from national geographic? :)
Wow, just wow, this is nice!
Here in Australia we call them Yowies: just google ‘yowie australia’.😉😁
In the animation, I’d make it blink at least once, and shift its gaze.
Yes, I see what you mean but sadly the eyelids don't support animation very well the way I made them. I'm planning to make something fully riggable for next time. Let's see. Thanks!
Bravo, bravo et ... Bravo !!!
Avec qu'elle méthode as-tu fait tes poils?
Of course I'd be interested to know how you work, but this morning when I left for work, I didn't have time to translate your comment.
Your knowledge is most welcome.
Not much knowledge here, but I did find a lots of things that could save time on the future and make things easier which might save time for others at some point, so I'll try to share them. Thank you!
