A non realistic My Little Pony toy render.
This was supposed to be a simple exercise in making a parallax effect glitter plastic shader that instead turned into a two day struggle with hair particles. I may have lost some of my own hair in the process. I reused a model I'd already made for the pony, I rendered in Eevee because I didn't want to spend ages waiting for cycles to figure things out, and I slapped a few random lights and a bendy gradient plane on it for a background because I couldn't be bothered.
The whole thing is low fidelity as a result, but that's fine (I tell myself as I slowly strangle my inner perfectionist).
So I used this project to experiment with a new shader, practice with UV maps since I'm in the middle of the texturing course, and figure out how tf to make hair. Basically testing out some new skills and making a sparkly tinsel pony in the process.
For some feedback I would say the shadows can give the render some nice level up, maybe specially the contact shadows with the floor. Models and textures are looking great 🤙
