Yes, this comes from the same universe as the Fairyblades Scimitar (which, BTW, after 12 years in the making, has progressed to the Final stage at last, and has different content). Thanks to this tutorial, I am now like Roger Zelazny's Clice, Out of Whose Mouth Proceedeth Rainbows. And no, I have not missed the heat distortion over the flames: in fact, I've tried several ways to achieve it, such as this, or the CG Cookie's very own one. None of them worked with the fancy compositing I used so, I ended up just using the compositor's displacement node, and a mask: only because the render is 4K, it may appear too weak to notice 😁.
The 4K JPEG is also available for download here, as a part of my relevant Blenderartists post (which also contains some creative write-up and the 'moral justification,' so-to-speak, for anyone who might have such concerns 😉). Unfortunately, I see no easy way to share the original render, the lossless PNG, as its size is 40M+.
This reminds me of Assassins Creed Origins, the Egypt one. Looks cool, I think the lighting feels a bit weird though, not powerful enough to be the sun, but it's also confusing since there's storm clouds in the back. Loving all the details in the columns and all the vegetation. Sounds like it's a memorial, someone stood up to evil and payed the price.
The lighting was supposed to be the very low (but tropical) sun, just re-appearing behind the viewer (the camera?) after the storm has moved on: something like this, but under a different angle, and a different weather

Boy, was it a challenge to find a HDRI that resembled the storm clouds!😄
