King Kombi, based on a concept of the amazing artist, Alejandro Burdisio.
This was the first time I did modelling a car from blueprints. I found some old Wolksvagen T2a blueprints and changed the shape a little to fit the nomad-Mad Max look of the concept. Modeling every model from scratch was tedious but worth the try! I added a few things to the original concept, thought it would be nice.
All assets made by me.
Blender 3.3/3.4, Substance Painter, Photoshop.
This is amazing! If I have a long term goal itβs to be able
To model and texture something like this

Absolutely gorgeous work @sempervirent! I'd love to feature this in the 2023 CGC student reel. Would you say any of our courses influenced your workflow for this project?
Oh thank you Kent!
To be honest I learned a lot in the past from CGC, now I'm just coming back to see tutorials sometimes as long I don't need them that much, after all these years of experience... :) But if you want you can use it, I'm an eternal student π
It looks great.
Thank you! π
This is insane !!
Have you tried lowering the front suspension a bit? It maybe gives an agressive feeling to it :D
Thanks!
No... no space to do it :P
This is simply mind-blowing! Congratulations on this amazing result ! π€©π€©π€©
Thank you, I'm glad you like it π
πWow!
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Someone beat me to the staff pick!
Fantastic work, amazing attention to detail! π
Thank you so, so much! π₯Ί
super dope!!!
Thanks! π
Very nice
Thank you π
Superb work all around Lady Ewa. Sounds very Lord of the Rings. I particularly like the first shot with the close up and depth of field. Mighty good way of communicating this vehicle has lots of details. You can do a couple more of those renders, feels like there's still more detail to show. Awesome lighting, texture, the background has some love put into it. One detail I like is how the tires are crumpled under the weight. I am guessing Adrian will make it a staff pick in no time.
Oh my... Thank you Omar, that was soooo nice! π₯Ί
I'll probably make some more shots and also - I'm preparing a video to show a bit more, so stay tuned! π
This is awesome! I love the concept. I'm particularly impressed with the texture work.
Well Done!
Thank you!
Shoutout to Alejandro Burdisio for creating the concept π
