Hi everyone,
I hope that you are all keeping well and safe.
I am extremely proud, exhausted, and excited to share with you what has taken me many weeks to complete.
Had I been able to work on it daily the turnaround would have been so much less.
Even though this project is considered “Final”, it still came bundled with some flaws. However, sometimes you need to call it, done.
What started as a simple Halloween project in 2022 became more complex and exhilarating in the days that followed.
The first 2 weeks were smooth sailing having a clear and concise understanding of the motive I had in mind.
However, approaching week 3, difficulties started presenting themselves in the form of mostly puzzle solving among other frustrating hurdles.
I always push myself with every project to be better than the day before. Sometimes things go well and sometimes they don’t.
I remain kind to myself when a failure occurs, as I’m reminded that this is a journey in an ever-growing, competitive, and evolving industry. You’ll never know everything and that's ok. It just comes to prove how vast the spectrum of CGI is.
“If you’re not failing, you’re not pushing your limits, and if you’re not pushing your limits, you’re not maximizing your potential.”
— Ray Dalio
I believe that being consistent is so imperative to anyone’s growth and that through dedication, hard work, and perseverance, the destination will be so much more rewarding. That is why it is so essential to invest as much time as you possibly can by practicing each day.
I’ve come to learn over the years that acceptance through one’s failures equips you with humility as well as schooling yourself in the process. It is rather a necessity, as it strongly reflects where your weaknesses and strength lie.
Although I’m not on a professional level I still take great pride in my work. I pour so much love into every project I create.
The hero of this project is most definitely the eye. This was created by following Kent Trammell’s Human course. His teaching method is so smooth, clear, and precise each step of the way. I just love how in-depth this course is.
“Human” from CG Cookie is a must-have Gold Edition course for any aspiring character artist in my humble opinion. It’s bundled and stationed alongside my Rafael Grassetti Anatomy courses.
Blender 3.4.0 and 3.4.1 were used during the period of this production.
Have a blessed day further, everyone. 😊
This really looks incredible now, and you've done an excellent job on showing it off! The lighting, angles, animations are all spot on. Nicely done!
Thank you so much. That is kind of you to say.
Awesome!
Another fine piece of work bc_griffin

Thank you, Adrian for this amazing honor.
Awesome work as always Bennie, it was worth the effort. For some reason I really liked how it look at the back, where the snake bite is, looks firmly pressed as the wrinkles gives that impression quite nicely.
Thank you so much, Omar.
Thank you so much jammingammon for this wonderful and kind comment. 😊🙏 I loved your latest work. Keep them coming, man.
Wow! Really impressive work. The static shots of the eye and the outside of the book are beautiful of course, but I also like how you brought it to life with the animation. Great work!
