I sure wish I knew how to totally turn off the "scene thing" for rendering because I like my lighting alone without the HDRI thing adding light. It should be darker with more shadows.
I want it to be darker with pools of light. I can make it look how I want in the viewport editor but when I render it comes out like that. I have searched on the internet about how to disable the world lighting in render but I am coming up empty.
Yeah. It's not the viewport lighting. I know how to change that. I think I want the scene lighting (HDRIs provided by blender or added by me) to be completely off during render. What do you mean by keep going? That's it. Work on something else now. Is there something else I should do to it?
Ok. I think I found it. Render Properties - Bake Output - Clear Image was unchecked. That happened when Blender crashed every time I tried to render the image sequence. I forget how I fixed THAT but I guess I tried to bake something so it wouldn't crash. My lighting is working now.

I see you added the tongue and burp. Great job. keep going, it's looking good. If you want a different lighting while being in viewport shading, you can turn on scene lights and scene world.
I guess it's time for me to do the "fundamentals of digital lighting course"

OK. I need help. I can see that in my treasure chest file, that changing the lighting is actually not affecting my render image at all. I have another file where if I turn the light up to an insane level, you can clearly see it in the render. So SOME button or something is going on in my treasure chest file that if i just change ONE setting, it's gonna work. I just don't know what it is. I guess I will have to try this again. Side by side comparison of every single lighting button in the two files.
I meant with the lighting. But yeah, you can leave it as is and move onto something else. Status final and complete.
