While Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos spend millions making tourism around the Earth (with al due respect, of course 😁), there are companies that have already the technology needed to explore remote solar systems planets.
Or they almost have it 😜.
Jokes aside, I started this project as a simple exercise of texture painting (robot and rocks) where I spent 2 to 3 weeks. Then I began to work in a small video to show the character off. But it started to grow with music, dancing, hdr background, etc. Eventually, after more than 6 moths of work I feel that it is complete and I must move on to another project.
I'm afraid that the still pictures are not very interesting, but I hope you enjoy the video.
All modelling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation and video edition made in Blender.
Rendered in Eevee.
ricardog Thank for your answer! Wayne's animation courses are definitively on my to-do-list!
Well done Ricardo.
High Five to you Sir!
duerer I've used the techniques that I've learned in Wayne Dixon's (@waylow) amazing animation courses:
https://cgcookie.com/course/fundamentals-of-animation-in-blender-2-8x
https://cgcookie.com/course/animation-workflow-body-mechanics
I still have much to learn in order to improve my animation skills and speed. But these courses helped me a lot.
Video references for the dance were very helpful, and quite a bit of work.
@ricardogo I'm very impressed how well you synchronized music and robot movements ⏱👍! Where did you learn this ?
duerer So glad you like it.
I'm a little bit embarrased, but I think he's going to do something in Tik-Tok 🤫. Just for the exposure sake.
ricardog That's really fun to watch 🕺🤸♂️🤣👍! And when does Pepe open his first intergalactic dancing school 😉😁?!
@adrian2301 It was also fun to do it. Although I'm such a bad dancer myself.
An awesome video! Thanks for sharing this it was so fun to watch.
