lIt's amazing how much time can be spent on subtle refinements.
The latest 3 images have Rain's eyelids as part of the sculpt rather than separate objects, a better nose, and slight refinements to the lips and that took almost as much time as getting the first rough sculpt.
A few further refinements. The eyes, nose, and hair all got some work. The eyes in particular.
Also, I liked the darker hair with the darker skin.
The next three are a bit more subtle. I sharpened a bunch of the hair so it's not so rounded and muddy.
Unfortunately I also lightened it. I like the darker hair better.
Eventually I want to lighten Rain' skin again, but I haven't "painted in layers", so when I do I'll have to repaint the lips, eyelids, and blush.
Now with hair, and a pony tail!
The next 2 sets of 3 are at the same point in the process - just got the hair.
One is with color, one without.
My sculpt is starting to look pretty good, but my color's still pretty primitive.
Still getting the hang of deep creases, like the eyelids.
Some things like the eye brows probably should've been a separate object.
Next 3 - First color pass
Now with eyebrows. . . but I squared up the forehead too much.
Now Rain's showing her neck and a bit of shoulder.
The last three focus on a lot of ear refinement.
There's a lot of detail to still clean up. The eyelids for instance, but moving along to see what else the tutorial has.

Fixed the nose up a bit.
Added ears. They're a good rough, but there's a lot more refining to do on them. . . but Rain has ears now!
SSShshhhhshhshhh! She can hear you!
