This work depicts my everyday struggle with my weight after a childhood in competitive judo with weight categories. If the value of my scale goes to high, I fall in a sea of self hate. When the weight is too low, I drown in obession of losing more. Every day I will have to walk on this small path that is stable for me.
anarchymedes ‘your sea,’ I mean: curse my thick fingers.🤣
Just use this road as a runway, take off, and fly into the sunset.😆 That is, forget about the scales, weight, and people’s opinions (especially on the social media: boy, do I hate it!) and concentrate on staying healthy, capable, and happy. I’ve done karate, not judo, but we were taught to compete only with ourselves, if compete we must: we even called sparring a ‘dialogue’ to remove that toxic winner-loser vibe from the process of learning and self-improvement.
