Made in UE4 using Quixel megascans and other assets from the Marketplace.
The pumpkin was carved in blender.
What do you think?
Feedback much apreciated!
Hi,
Thank you so much for your critique :D
I didn't model anything except the pumpkin. I wanted to focus on environment design and building because I felt that I wasn't that confident in neither. I think a lot of people that use Blender for environments overlook an essential aspect of level/env design. You should try putting something together with professional assets and then focus on making them yourself. I feel like this will move you much more than spending hours trying to nail down the look of a single asset and gloss over the overall design.
The moon is a funny story... it is a weak sun in UE4 and the sky is just tinted XD. I did try to texture it but yeah...
Thanks for your kind comment!
Impressive! The grave stones have a nice texture to them, and the candles you put next to them top it off real nicely. I like how you added in a component of story in there too, with the cracked open grave next to the, for lack of a name I'll make one up, Jack. It lets the viewer put together that he escaped from the grave.
A few things you could change;
The moon, it needs a material that has some dark circles or you could put a cloud in front of it. Having it plain white is doing the rest of your scene a disservice.
Two minor things, the hands aren't grasping the sword, and there is grass in the broken grave.
Again, I really love the modeling on the tombstones.
