Hi michaelmirn , I've always struggled to make good textures in Blender - not sure why, but it feels really complicated to do even simple things! It has great potential but I just don't think it is quite there at the moment for texturing.
Substance Painter is the opposite in my opinion - if you have any experience using photoshop you are going to pick it up really quickly., and it just feels intuitive. Theres's some great tutorials on Youtube to get you going - I found this one really useful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qk_YRkDsJrQ
It is quite expensive, but totally worth it in my opinion.
What would say about texturing in Blender / Substance? It is kinda painful for me to texture models in Blender and I am trying to find a remedy for that.
beefkeef thanks a million, Keith, I will look into it for sure.
