I wanted to try something a bit more surreal and painterly. I sculpted the horse and ran some cloth simulations and smoke simulations emitting from the mane and tail, then did compositing and paint overs in Photoshop. I used Greg Rutkowski's excellent brush set to paint the layer mask for the cloth and smoke, which gave me control over the silhouette and the painterly look I was after.
Teach me, please! :D So all the painting made by PS? Sorry, I`m pretty new and really struggling with texturing and compositing...Could you please give some advice to achieve this type of effect or an effective tutorial? I don't know which software I should start to learn.... Really great work 👏
