I just finished the course 'Introduction to Hard Surface Modeling'. It was really fun, not to hard. During the modeling I decided to texture it, and maybe animate it a bit.
The modeling was not to hard. I only had to follow the instructions. The texturing really made the image. Though I'm really disappointed with the glass. For lightning I took an HDR. But although I made the background transparent, you can still see the trees through the glass, and I can't find a way to remove them. It looks really strange.
Do any of you know how to remove the trees from the glass? If you guys help me, maybe I can upload a final image.
Let me know what you think of it.
That's the idea :)
Nice looking plane Wilco. Hoping to have my model done by Sunday, but sadly there will be no texturing yet. Looks like yours is sitting on a concrete coaster :)
ssmurfmier1985 Thank you Miranda. I took the colour theme straight from the reference picture that came with the exercise, but I picked the background colour with the cgcookie colours in mind :)
You're plane looks great Wilco, love the CG Cookie color scheme :)
Thank you. No I don't use Substance yet. I plan to use it in the in a while. But I gave myself a deadline for last Sunday evening, so I was actually late. I didn't have time to learn Substance in that short of time. It was hard enough in blender for me though. That's why I was late a day.
That's actually a good question - I don't know the answer myself, but if someone else does I'd like to hear it too.
Expertly shaded, though. Do you use Substance?
