After following the UV-unwrapping and Texture Painting tutorials, I made this little house with my 5 year old daughter.
At her school they had a theme about building houses, so my wife and I thought it would be nice to do this with her, as my daughter was really interrested in what I was doing with blender.
I modeled the house, and prepared it for texture painting, and then I let her paint in the 3D viewport. Then I made a simple (not so good) fly by animation, and rendered that overnight.
All-in-all I think it turn out nicely. And I'm really proud of my little girl.
Thanks
What a wonderful creative way to get your daughter involved in what you're doing. And great use of primitives.
Yeah. It's really fun. She has been painting in applications like Sketchbook Pro off-and-on for a while. So she knows how to use a tablet (I have a Cintiq). So the step to texture painting wasn't to big.
That's great!!! I'm looking forward to have the same opportunity, soon!!! My little daughter is 2 years old now... Almost there! Congrats! Great idea!!!
Thank you very much, guys :)
What a great idea, I love it!
Aw that's pretty cute, nice modeling too. Good job to the both of you!
