Ok, so going through the prerecorded learning material outlined for Kents March class, just to get a head start.
Thought I would post my creations here as I go based on the prerecorded material. its stuff that wasn't stated to be an exercise in the courses, but what better practice than to go and do it anyway :)
Added the Sketchfab link too, just to show warts n all ;)
had to decimate before sketchfabbing so its a little more performant
added my week 1 submission for Peter Cushing caracature as well, need to go back and do more exaggeration on it, got alot of feedback on the community thread, so going to try and come back and implement thoughts and ideas.
[EDIT - Week 2]
working through the Wrangler prerecorded lessons. found this really tricky, ended up getting as far as the beard section. but im running out of time to do the Character Creation sections and then my own sculpted character.
so heres a quick render of my wrangler, didnt have time to really polish, but here it is as im leaving it. need to keep moving forward.
Its looking excellent
OK, so my week two of march's class is getting there, almost completed the wrangler course, but had to fall short as im running out of time to get the character creation sections 1 and 2 completed, and then do my own character.. so unfortunately updating with a very rough render on how far i got. time to move on
@theluthier Cheers Kent, I didn't post in the class thread straight away until I put in this weeks homework.
i thought I would have a practice first since one of the lectures you did say at the end of one of them you wanted to see more celeb sculpts ;)
so thought I would give it a bash based on that course, then see what extras I could pick up on and try from the live stream.
Looking back now, theres tonnes ive missed out on, but was really enjoyable practice :)
How am I just now seeing this? Did you post this in the class thread?
Great job with Danny!
Great work! Looking forward to seeing ya in the March course.
Looking good!
bit of a jump from never touched sculpting, to Melvin, to this.
but I would encourage anyone starting out to go do the Melvin sculpt course as its a fantastic primer and enjoyable
