Finally, after a month or two of hard work, I was able to finish my droid head render - originally a Scifi Helmet tutorial excercise. The biggest difficulty I had during the process was definitely the finishing phases - UVing, texture baking, also, stencils are real pain in Blender :-D Huge thanks goes to Kent Trammell and his awesome series, it really taught me a lot. Now onto the rest of the droid body...
Love it! Really nice result.
cchrisrezende Thank you! as a matter of fact i am experimenting with SP right now and falling in love with it. Also, it seems great in combination with Blender...
forrest-harless thank you very much! I would say this tutorial series is one of the best and most entertaining and educational Ive ever tried!
Great design and final 3d model. You nailed it! Since you mentioned about using stencils in Blender, have you tried Substance Painter? I find it much easier to paint textures in Substance rather than doing so in Blender.
Wow!
It never ceases to amaze me how many different, awesome designs have spawned from this exercise! I really need to set aside some time to do this one, myself!! Looks great!!!
