Mercedes Benz S-Class 2014 made in Blender 3d. This was a personal project mainly focused on practicing wavy and complex models with smooth reflections and clear topology. This is just the exterior part of the vehicle. The interior is not modeled yet, that is why the windows and front and back windshield have the tinted-black material. The concept behind the rendering process is to make the model to be as photo-realistic as I can. The backdrops on most of them are the HDRIs from HDRI Haven.
Any type of critique on the model, materials or orientation to the ground is highly appreciated.
Thanks mmarcusmravik for showing interest in this project. And no, I haven't seen CG Master's hard surface technique yet but I will definitely check it out. And I spent quite a time on the paint material as I was going through different reference images and videos to make the material that react to light as realistic as it can. But I am still a learner and always open to any kind of help. I would gladly like to check out your paint material as well to improve this project further.
Thanks again for help.
And also I think your paint material needs improvement. I have a paint material I very much like and am willing to share it if you're interested.
Very cool, but these renders remind me of when I didn't use CG Master's technique to hard surface. If I were you I'd check out CG Master's hard surface technique shown here: https://youtu.be/3rlMzsBWtPY
Thanks larry3d I am glad that you liked the model and I really needed some rough critique to improve. And yes you are right, I am still in process of texturing some imperfections and extra details to the model.
Looks very impressive. A little too clean. Otherwise, I see no difference to realism.
