Hi!
I wanted to work on my hard surface modeling skills with subdivision modifier. As a big fan of Star Wars I decided to model an Imperial Stormtrooper. For now this is just a helmet modeled in Blender and textured with Substance Painter. Any feedback would be appreciated.
It looks well used, makes you wonder what it has been through.
Thank you!
I love Original Trilogy so I'm very glad to hear it
Very well made! Nice lighting. It has an old school Star Wars feel. :)
Thanks man! It's all about repetition so keep up and you will get there pretty soon. It is a good idea to model the same thing several times to see progress. My first 3d model I made was of course Darth Vader mask. I've done 3 masks so far and I like the progress I've made since my first attempt. Good luck with your modeling!
Nice work man! Hopefully I'll be able to do this one day.
Thank you very much!
Yeah the Substance Painter is really great. At first the interface looks a bit overwhelming (at least it did for me) but you can get very nice results pretty quickly. Definitely you should try it!
the model looks great! also love the texture. makes me want to get substance painter!
