I try hard, but the watermelon texture I paint still look not real enough, just looks flat and lack of highlights, and a little dry. And the brushes I tried are not suitable very much. Maybe I should dip into the brush management. Hope anybody could give me some advices to improve it.
The watery effect is done really well in this image. From what I can tell, you're mainly just missing the little textures made by pores on the surface of the fruit.
Thanks, the fresh watermelon has many details on the surface, especially the watery effect. I just don't know how to make that.
I saw this thumbnail and loved the style, but I do agree that it doesn't look defined enough to be photo-realistic.
