I finish all the kit bashing step. After adding materials and UV unwrappring the whole model, i exported it in .fbx (also .obj) to create a new project in Substance Painter, but the software crashes each time... i guess i have to much polys due to subsurf.
I hope i will solve that problem, the Y Wing would be so much better with texture :)

Yes UV spheres ! And grid fill the tip to have only quads
How did you model the circular front caps on the engines? Did those start off as UV Spheres or did you extrude/shape them from the engine Cylinder objects?
So cool! I love the thin poles connecting the engines to the things in the back. If modeling spaceships is something you love, I would highly recommend picking up the Star Wars: Rogue One art book. It has tons of great space ship modeling examples.
Thank you ! Instead of adding holding edges, for once i tried to use the bevel modifier with bevel weight on certain edges.
