thanks for responding. I checked out the video, so thank you for that, but I'm afraid it wasn't incredibly helpful. I also checked out your video for the Redhead on youtube. I have to say, I'm a bit confused. If it's a particle system, then why does it look like a mesh in the video? Is there a way to turn mesh objects into a complete particle system? Or did you use the texturing that the guy in the video used, but on a more advanced level?
Thanks! Yeah it's particle system, I learnt a lot from this tutorial by Kent Trammel https://cgcookie.com/archive/creating-hair/.
How do you style her hair? Do you use the particle systems? Or do you have a method of alpha mapping that gives geometrical figures/ beziar curves the look of hair? If you use beziar curves, would you mind sharing your technique? I've been working on a character model for some time now, but no matter what I do, I can't figure a way to make beziar curves look like realistic(ish) hair, and I absolutely fail an time I try to use the particle system. Your characters are so well executed and gorgeous, plus they follow the style I intend to follow, so any advice would be very welcome.
