Just playing around with the fundamentals of shading, modifiers for smoothing and lighting. I'm new to blender. Any tips on reducing noise?

  • Also it looks as if you have the glossiness of the piece turned up unrealistically high which gives an impression of computer generated perfection that you dont see in real life. This will also be affecting your render times and quality, try turning the glossiness down to sokmething more realistic, look at references. Also, scratches, dust, imperfections could be something to look into trying to learn next to bring your work to the next level. Keep up the good work :)

  • Looking cool :) , im afraid I dont have time to explain properly, but assuming you rendered this in Cycles, then try playing around with clamp values (direct and indirect) and the filter glossy settings in the render settings. Also I think Blender Guru did a tutorial on reducing noise :)
