I made this as an exercise for the first three courses of the introduction to Blender flow (modelling, texturing and shading). For the texturing/shading I followed the same steps as Kent does in these amazing tutorials, but I wanted to have a fairly easy modelling challenge. For creating the normals and scratches map I missed some info in the tutorials on how they're made, but internet is full with many other advices and how-tos that filled in the gaps :)
I want to improve, so please tell me really your opinion on one of my first works. Thanks!
For the small amount of beveling I envisioned you shouldn't have to redo the UV maps.
ugh, I send it by accident. I wanted to say that I forgot about beveling it after I did all the UV mapping and textures, which was very hard for me, so I was afraid that beveling it would mean repeating all the work... :/ is there a way to avoid those things? Thanks again! :D
Thanks a lot for the reply!
Thanks a lot! It means a lot to me ^_^
Very nice. Maybe just a slight irregular bevel to the milled area along the equator so the red edge isn't such an absolutly perfect sharp line.
I think this is AMAZING! Especially if its one of your first projects.
