I was working on something else when this project once again raised it's ugly head.
I know I should be working on the CGCookie Compositing a Coffee Scene exercise. Instead I find my self reflecting over a warming cup of hot coffee while reading a chapter or two from Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. For some reason I just can’t seem to get a handle on this one.
All comments are welcome. ;)
Read Harry Harrison "West of Eden" ))
lot of 3d artist make an error making the textures too perfect. you avoided this problem, the texture does not look like seamless, they have a "personality" (especially for the fabric, i love the little "fur" (sorry, my english is bad), the lighing is just perfect. the texture on the baby kraken is just make him/her living (also nice color using of purple), and the little suckers does not seems repeating because of the pose. and the little backlight is just rocks. the composition is again very good, the color composition is also. i have very critical eye, as you see :D
(i tried to learn zbrush, but .. im just lame. i learned the spotlight texturing, and much little useful trick, but alone is hard. if ever will be not just blender lessons, i will definiately join!
Thank you for your positive affirmation. Your work shows that you have a great eye for art so a complement from you is special. ;)
perfect in many ways
