I wanted to create a character you might find in movies such as The Road or The Book of Eli or games such as the Fallout series.
I wish I were better at rigging and posing but it's the best I could do in the time I had. Textures of the face are created from her actual reference photography. Textures on the clothes and props were generated using Substance Painter. Binoculars I modeled from some I had here, machete is purely fictional. Shoes were a rush job and apart from the lack of a dynamic pose is the only thing I'm not terribly happy with.
Background and Floor generated by BlenderGuru's Studio Lighting kit.
Scene holds four lights: one key light for her face and two rim lights. The fourth is purely for the machete's highlights.
It's also the first time I used the hair particles. I watched Kent's tutorials on the subject and I don't dislike the results.
Very nice!
Hey it's looking good. Like you said the pose could be more dynamic, especially to match the hair in action. Looks great though!!
