I decided to try out a program called Zbrush today!!!
I downloaded the trial version.
No judging!!! This is my first time using it, but I am am proud of myself like a five year old who just learned something awesome!!! So I'm going to share! This is five hours in...I'm following a tutorial.
I know it isn't very good, obviously this is my first time with it and the anatomy is off.
Yeah I am going to need a lot of practice! I've been keeping with a lot of the basic stuff so far. >.< I followed this tutorial on youtube. https://youtu.be/6lJArPtjUPs
Zbrush must have very good tutorials. I thought for sure this wasn't your 1st go at it. Looks like you're on the right track. 3D does take practice but keep it up!
ZBrush maintains an undo history. Pretty powerful once you get the hang of it.
Thank you! I had a lot of fun learning this, though it was confusing, I was really proud of how it turned out. I might go back and clean her up now that I have a bit of a firmer grasp on how to smooth things out. ^_^
Thank you! Actually I am new to CG sculpting. I followed a tutorial for this initial piece which helped a lot!! I've done a lot of digital painting so I am familiar with bone structure, which I think helps. I've never used blender before, so I can't really help you with that one. As for the User Interface, I like it, though sometimes it feels really awkward. I'm so used to PS that I find myself trying to do short cuts that way. Also figuring out a way to "erase" was a nightmare at first, and I'm still confused on how to save things, which seems weird. Actually there are a lot of things that confuse me, because I am used to 2D art and not 3D art.
A great beginning.
I'm no expert but I must say this is very nice. You are not new at cg sculpting obviously and have a good eye. I have toyed with trying Zbrush and am curious how you like the UI as I have heard that it is difficult? Can you compare it to the Blender UI? Keep up the good work!
