Try deleting the file in this directory...
C/Users/Your user name/AppData/Roaming/"Krita"
When you launch again this folder will be regenerated.
This folder and it's contents can become corrupted and not allow Krita to launch.
Your custom brushes are also stored here if you have any.
Or else just do a complete uninstall of the program and download a new version as Krita just had one released.
I have an issue with my desktop but I also have a hybrid and it works great in 10, on that system! I think the issue with my desktop is due to an earlier attempt to download Krita and now it won't let me reload because of some file artifact! I anticipate smooth sailing if I can just isolate the original issue!
