This is a Duros alien from Star Wars. Simple box modeling techniques were used with modifiers to mirror things and apply a certain organic softness to it. I never ended up finishing the piece, I do hope to... but once I start a piece in an effort to learn a technique, I tend to let the project drift once I learn how to apply it. It is a very bad habit, I know.... but the Duros was really fun to make and I think it is still quite low poly.... with a lot of the quads being made up of the spheres for the eyes instead of the head.
As I added more detail such as around the eyes, poly count went up but that was expected. Texture is really a simple shader in a cycles hdri environment set up I use when I am making things.
Cad Bane.... Looks really good! Looking forward to more : )
Cheers,
Captain Rex
there are a lot of sharp crease lines...
maybe too many for an organic being...
or is part machine?
