Followed a tutorial by Gleb Alexandrov: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXeQ9TM-mh4
Mine isn't quite as epic, but I learned a lot and it was super fun.
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the compliments though I don't totally agree with your view on comparison. I think comparing myself to Gleb makes sense . . . it helps to define what greatness is. But I'm not down about it. I know that just putting in a bit more time would make my good image . . . great.
For one to be epic, it takes lots of time, and a lot of scrunched up forehead. (Frustration) Greatness is achieved over time, often a whole lifetime of experience. Don't compare yourself to someone like Gleb, compare yourself to you. The only person you should be competing with is yourself, and boosting your own greatness. That said, I think you did really well on this model, as well as the textures and smoke effects. I truly look forward to seeing you progress, you're doing a very good job so far.
This is great work! I love the perspective and focus! Great job!!
Image planes. So much easier than a smoke simulation. I added a link to Gleb's tutorial in the description.
The steam came out very nice.
