Oh wow, thank you so much for the critique. Also thank you for the helpful tip. I really need that =D I do hope I get better but I know I will because I'm usually always practicing. =)
Not a bad start, but don't be afraid to think outside of your comfort zone. With a few more midtones and highlights you could add, you can really make it's material type clear. Play around with strength of opacity and soft/hard brushes and amounts of color laid down per stroke. If your afraid to mess up something your happy with but want to try something outside of the box or out of your comfort zone, just create a new layer and paint on it to see if your idea works out. :) Keep painting, I'll be watching to see your progress. :D
