Thank you. You're right about the brightness and the rainbow. In a large scene like this there are many things to do so something must be overlooked. I modeled the trees, you can actually download it on Blendswap, just look for the "10 sample tree". :)
Looks cool. Seems kind of bright in the foreground to be so foggy. I think the rainbow should have a larger arc so you don't see it dropping in the frame. How did you create the trees? Are they planes or actually modeled trees?

Sometimes fog appears to have a very sharp ending, in this case the fog comes from the river so it doesn't spread too far from it.
