Nice effort. Looks great. I made some simple birds and rigged them then used the Boids brain in particle system to make them flock and fly together. Pretty cool , fun to mess with. D
Hello Tessa, thank you very much for your comment.
Piero is very fun to make but even if Kent teach very well it is sometimes difficult to succeed in doing things as we wish.
For the fur on the head I did not use the density map and the lenght map like Kent.
I used vertex group to define the area and work with "particul edit" mode.
When you use this mode you can do everything you want (lenght, add, cut, etc.) with better control.
After, I tried different settings with particul system (number, child, etc.).
The shader is also important.
Try to adjsut color as best as you can to create a good transition between feathers and fur.
Hey Bruno, I'm on the same course - I love your Piero, in particular the head. How did you make the fur on the head blend in so well with the body feathers?
Great achievement, Bruno😀👍! And Piero is happy, too 😊🐦!

Thank you Kent. I love the way you teach.
Great progress, Bruno!
Looks great man.
Thank you crisoberillo.
Really awesome! Good job :)
