Was just an exercise into further improving sculpting, I'm still not good at it, but just practicing to get those tough areas right like the laugh lines and the eyes. Still got a lot of practicing to do. As for the material, was messing around with the node editor to try and get it to look like the busts we usually get to see around libraries and stuff.
Sure enough!
I did quite a bit of traditional sculpting in school (many moons ago). I'm slowly beginning to make that transition, as a 3D artist! mostly fear, I think, has slowed me down! It's easy to convert back to what you know best! I.E. Box modeling!
Thanks to you good sir! :p
Awesome sculpture, Zulan!
Hey thanks! Yeah I used to rely more on hard surface modelling too and that's the main reason why I'm trying to get more into incorporating sculpting into my workflow. Really advantageous when it comes to time management since sculpting provides much faster solutions while making changes to models.
Your work looks really good! I do a lot of box modeling but I'm starting to explore the sculpting area of my tools now! I hope I can bring those skills up!!
Thank you!
Looks like you a long way up the right track, nice work
