For the longest time I had the image of a Christmas decorated fireplace in my head. I kept coming back to it time and time again, each time with a little more detail. When I began the blender file, I knew exactly what I wanted it to look like. However, as the render progressed, a few things changed. It originally was supposed to have a fire, but since I didn't know how to do fire, I changed it to a sunset (which I like better anyways). With other changes occurring as well, I finally got the render to where I wanted it to be. I imagine the house this fireplace belongs to, to be an elegant home with vaulted ceilings and very tall windows. And just outside the house, a big grass yard with a few trees along the sides, and the grass sloping down to a brook that runs by the property.
