This is a little project of mine in which I try to solve as much as I can through modifiers (array, bend (simple deform), bevel, displace)
Because a boolean modifier would not work on the tower (thanks to too much geometry), I applied some of the modifiers and deleted several bricks in order carve in some gaps.
The arcs on the walls and the ramp leading upwards are handled the same way.
The inner space of the tower is yet to be done as well as the surrounding scenery, debris and a proper sky.
I would appreciate any kind of advice since I'm not sure if my "building-techniques" are a good idea. It may be fairly accurate, but it also results in a lot of unused geometry (The wall consists of 3 rows of stone, and I might want add a inner wall of depth 2 - I would have to poke in some new holes and perhaps regrow the ivy).
