I took a break from my overly ambitious Christmas project to do a quiet fairly low-poly, mid-winter scene combining images from snow lantern festivals (which I've never seen in person) in Northern Japan, and the gassho style houses in the Gifu prefecture.
I had some trouble getting the snow lantern distribution using Geometry Nodes to work, but the kind folks here at CG Cookie helped me figure that out.
